Welcome to Cula. We want you to have the best possible experience using Cula, and to do this we may need to collect certain data. The data may be used to help us better develop and engage users on our platform for a greater user experience.

Our Privacy Policy explains how Cula Pty Ltd ("Cula," "we," or "us") collects, uses, discloses, and protects information that relates to our service, and how you can limit how we use this information.

By using the Cula service we may ask for certain information upon sign up such as full name and email. When you contact us via support or register with our email list, we may also collect specific information such as first and last names, email addresses, phone numbers, device IDs, and more. We may also store any messages you send us via e-mail or social media. We use this information to improve our products and services. Unless otherwise stated within the Application or this Policy, any information you provide through the Service may be transmitted to or stored by Cula and/or its third-party providers.

Information we may receive from third-parties

We may receive information about you from third parties. For example, signing into your account through the Facebook or Apple may pass certain information about you and your use of our service. This information could include, but is not limited to, the unique ID associated with your account. An example of this information would be an access token necessary to use the Cula service, any information that you have permitted the third party to share with us, and any information you have made public in connection with the third party service. You are solely responsible for your data and should always monitor and review your privacy settings on third party websites before linking or connecting them to the Cula service. You may also unlink your third party account from the service, although by doing so you will no longer be able to access the Cula service. Upon unlinking your account, Cula will no longer receive any information regarding your account.

Information we collect

We may directly collect analytical data, or use third-party analytics tools, to help us measure traffic and usage trends for the Cula service. These tools collect information sent by your browser or mobile device, including, but not limited to, the location of your mobile device, your mobile device ID, the type of mobile device you are using, information associated with your Apple Store or Facebook account, the pages you visit, and other information that assists us in improving the Service.

Log File Information

Log file information is automatically reported by your browser or mobile device each time you access the Service. We want to inform you that whenever you use our Service, in a case of an error in the app we collect data and information (through third party products) on your phone called Log Data. This Log Data may include information such as your device Internet Protocol (“IP”) address, device name, operating system version, the configuration of the app when utilising our Service, the time and date of your use of the Service, and other statistics.

Device Identifiers

When you access the cola service through a mobile device (including but not limited to smart-phones or tablets or desktops), we may access or store one or more “device identifiers,” such as a universally unique identifier (“UUID”).  Your device identifier may be data stored in connection with the device hardware, data stored in connection with the device’s operating system or other software, or data sent to the device by Cula. A device identifier may convey information to us about how you use the application.

Location Data

When you access the Cula service through a mobile device, we may access, monitor and/or store location data. This may include GPS coordinates or similar information regarding the location of your mobile device. We may use your location to monitor how you browse and use our service. We also may use your location to help improve our marketing and advertising. If you don’t wish to be tracked you can choose not to at anytime in your settings or deny access for tracking when signing up.

How we use your information

We use information you provide through our third parties to supply the app to you. Upon signing up through Facebook or Apple we create an access token for our services. This is mandatory and failing to do so will not allow you to access Cula services. We also use this information about you to automatically remember you so that you will not have to re enter data every time you visit Cula.

Data Analytics - We use this information about you to help us improve the Cula service and an overall better user experience. This includes monitoring the total number of visitors to the Cula service, traffic, and demographic patterns.

To get in touch with you about the Cula service we use your contact information provided through the third party such as email, first and last name. We may send you emails from time to time about critical elements such as technical issues regarding the service. Don’t worry we won’t send spam! 

To promote our app we use your contact information to get in touch with you about amazing new features in the app and offers relating to the service. You can choose to opt out of this at anytime. To do this check the bottom of the email and follow the instructions.

We will use/provide information about you to our customer service team to help better your experience. Information provided to our customer service team will be to resolve technical issues your experiencing with the service.

Cula takes security seriously. We will use information about you to monitor activity that we think may think is suspicious or unlawful. We will also use this information to identify violations to this privacy policy or our terms of use.

For matters required by law Cula will disclose your information where we believe is necessary. This will be to comply with law/law enforcement requests or to enforce our terms of use and protect the security of the Cula service. Cula will also share information to protect the rights or personal safety of a user.

Sharing your information

Cula will never rent or sell your information into third parties outside Cula and it’s group of companies without your consent, except in the case of acquisition which we have outlined below.

Who we may share information with

Cula may share your information with its third party service providers. The purpose of this is to provide the Cula service to you and facilitate our uses as outlined above. The third party services will only be provided with access to information that is related to that of the Cula service. We will require that all third parties will comply with this Privacy Policy and any applicable laws.

Some of the functions our third parties help Cula with are billing, customer support, email services, hosting, storage and analytical data. Cula in very rare circumstances may also share your information with third parties. Cases where we may share your information may include, required by a court order or legal requirement, to protect the Cula community or you have consented to us sharing with a third party.

Cula may also share your information with a third party in circumstances where we are acquired/sell, transfer Cula, or any combination of our services, assets or businesses. Information such as customer names and email addresses, content and other user related information to the service may be amongst the items sold or transferred in these types of transactions. We may also sell, assign or transfer such information in the corse of corporate divestitures, merges, bankruptcies, dissolutions, liquidations, similar transactions or proceedings involving all or a portion of Cula.

Breach of information

In the rare event that any information under out control is compromised as a result of a security breach, Cula will take all steps necessary to investigate the situation. Where we can will will notify users who’s information may have been compromised within 72 hours of discovering the breach. Cula will take all necessary steps in accordance with any applicable laws and regulations.


Cula values your trust when you provide us with your personal information, this is why we take every step we possibly can to ensure we protect it. Please always remember though no data is 100% secure on the internet and we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

How long your data is kept

Following account termination or delation of the mobile application, Cula may retain your profile information and user content for a reasonable time. We will only keep your information for as long as we have a valid purpose to do so. In particular Cula may retain your information to comply with its legal obligations.

Children’s Privacy

Cula does not knowingly collect any users personal information under the age of 13 and the application and its content are not directed at users under the age of 13.  In the event that we discover we have collected personal information under the age of 13 without parental consent we will delete that information as soon and as swift as possible. Web links and other services

Cula will not be responsible for web links to or from our service. If you click a third party link you will be directed to that site. Note these external websites are not operated by Cula and we strongly advise you to review the policies of these websites. We have no control over and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party sites or services.

Changes to the policy

Cula reserves the right to update or modify this policy at anytime without any notice. Any revisions to this policy will be effective upon posting. You should review this policy periodically to ensure you are aware of changes.
